I have seen a few of them around. Can they get you if you have out of state plates?

So not sure why they let me go, but I would have been screwed.

I think i read somewhere that theyre tryin to get OBD1 cars. thats probably why they let you go.

That may be it then. Kind of threw me off because I wasn't sure what was going on.

Default Smogged out

Smog survey, yeah what a joke! I thought the seventies were cool when we could cut the air with a knife and who wants to see the Big Bear, Baldy or even the local foot hills more a few times a year anyways. I guess my kids will never know how it felt after getting "smogged out" from playing to hard with the burning lungs and pounding head aches.

In the 40's, smudge pots were blamed for smog and were outlawed.

The environment/terrain is conducive to collecting smog. Smog was probably in the SGV before cars came.

It's funny, you can stand right behind your average modded sports car and be able to breathe just fine. You stand behind any one of the hundreds of semis, cement trucks, city buses, or school buses out there on the road, and try to take a deep breath within that deadly cloud of pitch black smoke, you'll be coughing up blood in no time. I don't care what any governmental EPA clown says; if I can see it as I drive through it, it's waaayyyy more pollutant than my Camaro!!!!
