detailed Darkknightriders vette
#22
I will get the scratched fixed when I have the money to do it. Its not a cheap fix by any means. and the vette WILL stay as clean as I can keep it without a garage. The trans am is a different story, she was never pretty to begin with and I never planned on keeping her clean. just driving the **** out of her.

After looking at your pics Luis you really could use the benefit of a DA to take you to the next level. I saw your link on scm and I imagine besides on the scratch, you used the same routine of wash, clay, pre wax, seal/glaze and wax for the car. This is great typically for cleaning and protecting but I see the normal swirls that would be obvious to any black car (although they exist on any car, and just more obvious) that could be removed. Essentially, paint correction with compound. The world of detailing just exponentially jumps once you get to paint correction.
I did this Mercedes Benz a few weeks ago to take it from this(after wash/clay):
to this with M105 and M205:
This is prewax as well.

Okay I resized it. Here is what to look for.
Check out the first picture and look at the lighted area. This paint has RIDS (randomly inflicted deep scratches) and Swirls. Also look around the black paint to see the texture; not so smooth.
Then look at the after picture, specifically the lighted area again. No more RIDS or Swirls, the paint is fully corrected (2 stage) and ready for LSP (Last Step Protection; sealant/wax or both).
See it now?

I have a makita 9227c and two big bottles of m105/m205 sitting in my garage that need to get used.

I used Meguiars Soft BUff 2.0 pads (7"); but lately have started to use Lake Country pads and i've been happy with them.
