Need some help with Ebay dilema Okay so my old man just sold our Durango on eBay. the dude that bought it lives in Mi and sent my dad an email and doesnt want to pay for it because "he didnt know what he was bidding on and had no idea he was bidding". This dude bid multiple times, on multiple days and beat out 2 local shops for it.
are ebay autions legally binding in any way? i know they have some thing about if the vehicle doesnt meet state laws or soemthing you can get out of it, but this dude is just ******* stupid.
i have no personal ebay experience but i know a lot of people on here do so i figured id ask you guys and see whats up

Sorry to hear that man, sorry to tell u but they cant do **** to him, only a negative feedback, BUT you could give the second to the last person with the highest bid a second chance and sell it to him for the amount they bid...

Open a dispute with ebay. That'll be the only thing you can do. If they find in your favor you don't have to pay. Right now as it stands ebay thinks your sold the car, so they'll charge you the fee.

You can open a dispute with the buyer which will probably end in your favor and ebay will waive your listing fee. You can leave the buyer negative feedback and offer a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.

Open a dispute or cancel the transaction to get your final value fee back, also you can send second chance offers to other bidders.
BUT......you cannot leave negative feedback for a buyer anymore, its not even an option.
Its part of their buyer protection program, which is bs because i have encountered plenty of deadbeats and idiots that deserve the negative feedback. Hope this helps.
