T-Top locks
T-Top locks Anyone know if i can get a t-top key form gm or if i need to order new locks? Im gonna need one as the car is going to be my DD and I wont have a garage anymore.

I work over at Desert Buick Pontiac GMC here in vegas, ill ask the guys today and see, my best guess is to rekey the T Tops, BUT if they can cut you a new key your gunna need your ID and your registration on the car (yano proof you actually own the vehicle in question)I know PITA
when i bought the car i just got one key and a remote. I assume that the doors, trunk and t tops dont use the the same key as the ignition. If i'm right im gonna need to be putting a new battery in my remote untill i can figure out how to get some new keys.

I think you can get a key from GM. The ignition key is not she same, but the doors, trunk and t-tops are the same. You could just run the car down to the nearest GM dealer and I think they can get you a key.

I went of to the GMC dealer near my house and had them make an ignition key and 2 door keys. Paid around $50 for all three. The ignition key was around $20, the door keys were around @4 each and they charged a $20 to get the code that they need to cut them. all in all not a bad deal.
