if anyone has had acl lcl knee surgery.. is it safe to do leg extensions after 1yr and 5 months after surgery?

I've helped with rehabilitation for acls but yes you can, just don't go crazy. Obviously, if it hurts even slightly then stop doing them.

Anything that strengthens you hammies and quads helps with the stability and strength of your knee but it all depends how good and extensive you were with your post op rehab. I would say start off slow with light weights and work your way up. If you didnt rehab much after surgery I would be cautious since the knee may still be weak regardless that it is healed.

Btw I was an EMT have studied a lot of sports medicine and have worked with rehabing patients including an uncle of mine who tore his mcl and acl.
