New to the scene...

I am new here just got my car a couple of weeks ago. My car has 150k plus miles, I kind of wanted to put some nitrous but I of course the motor has a lot of miles. Before I go shopping around, what is the average cost for a motor rebuild? I really don't want a lot out of the car, just 400whp on the motor on a small shot.

400whp on nitrous or NA?
You can spray the stock motor (assuming it's healthy) but replace the fuel pump first and get a good tune you'll be fine

Where are you located I might be able to help you out with some hook ups on motor rebuilding

I am located in Perris, CA. Also 400whp on the bottle/tune.

I got it for 3.5k, but I am starting to think it wasn't a good deal. The car has a weird rattling noise under WOT, and it leaks oil. I am not mechanically inclined so to me its probably gonna end up costing me more.

welcome. lq4/lq9+n20= 400+hp easy. just swap in a 6.0. cheaper than a rebuild. im in riverside pm if you need any help.

So what do people do just get a LQ9 shortblock, swap heads, intake, etc, and thats it?

Thanks, for the offer. I put 91 already. I even tried a small mix of 100.

I think its something either with the motor mounts, or maybe the driveshaft is not balanced maybe
