Default Idear of trading the fbody

So Ive been thinking alot lately about how my fbody will be paid off in a couple months, and Ive kinda grew out of the whole sports car idear. Dont get me wrong, I love the car. I just think its time for a change now. I want the extra room, something a bit better in quality, and ride. Ive been looking at 2003 - 2006 tahoes. And I was curious to see peoples opinions that own or have owned one before. Ill be looking to spend around $15k including down payment and trade in on one with the right mileage.

The tahoes are nice, my mom used to have one for a long time. I wouldn't DD one though, just too large and uses too much gas for my tastes. I would look into a larger sedan as kind of a middle ground. Sports car to huge suv is a dramatic change

No way. Keep the T/A and get something cheaper. Is there really a reason you need a big ol soccer mom ride?

My mom traded her Tahoe in for a 2010 Camry when my Softball playing sister left for college, she didn't need the cargo room anymore to lug around her catcher gear and bats.

do you really want another car payment? my 02 Z28 will also be paid off within the next 3-4 months, and there is no way i want to get into another car payment. I would honestly find a scraper or something to roll around in. Something that you can pay off in cash with no car payments.

MPG isnt a problem with me, probably never will be either. And the thing is, Im looking for something that is better in interior quality, ride quality, and room/storage. So I wouldnt want to get a beater, or cheaper DD as a second car since Im actually trying to get into a better overall vehicle. I use to drive a 99 expedition, and a 2001 silverado. I feel more comfortable in trucks or suvs anyways. Also payments wouldnt really bother me much aslong as its roughly around $275 a month.

What about a sports sedan? I have been thinking about upgrading from my fbody as well. The Pontiac G8 is a good option I think. They aren't too expensive and are roomy four door cars. I think that will be my next car, unless i can somehow scrounge some cash and get into a new CTS-V
