Yeah... well, thanks for the heads up. Guess ill look at swapping the gears first versus installing it, hating it, and pulling it back out to put gears in.

yeah! I have new: turbo, BOV, Wheels/tires, roll cage, harness, race seat, LCA's, Panhard bar, and uhhh i think thats it

i was there last year, didn't race my car. won't be taking my car this year but i'll most likely be there watching all you guys have fun!

 

So far I have a new, Waste Gate, Intake, Boost Controller, and cleaned up my wiring. I should have my 10 point cage and mini tubs done by then, and im going to cut out more metal out for weight reduction. I should see a 9 sec pass if all goes well.

now i wouldnt say youll hate it... it will just pull through the rpm really fast and youll prob have no traction if you have crappy tires haha but its not like you cant run it...

i would have liked to stick with the 3.42's but I got a Moser 9" with 35splines and a wavetrak diff, and the closest they had was a 3.50"... so thats what im running now and i love it.

 

i'm running 3.42's in my turbo car right now, i have a set of 3.23's just laying around that i've been thinking of throwing in. do you guys think it would be worth it? i do a lot of freeway driving which is also a reason i want to put them in, i miss my 2.73's on the freeway lol

 

well im assuming you have the 5-speed?

 

5 speeds only came w/ v6 cars.

Except for '93 manual cars that came with 3.23's. But different gear set in the M29 T56 made up for it.

 

Yeah but he said he missed 2:73's so one might assume the car came stock with those, I am pretty sure no 4th gen 6speed car had 2:73's. I could be wrong though.

 

Correct. I was just stating that not all 6-speed cars came with 3.42's that's all.

 

i thought the LT1 cars came with 5-speeds?
