Rev limiter help....
Rev limiter help.... For some reason my car's rev limit is at 6500 (give or take) and my car is completely stock. I just got my car, I don't know if the previous owner had it tuned like that or what not, but after 6200 or so, it feels like my car just dies out of course because its stock.
Can anyone help me lower the rev limit to stock or how much does that cost to do? I don't want to tune it right now because its stock, and I do plan on putting mods, so i'll rather wait to tune it after, I just need the rev limiter to be drop to stock.

ya you might want to get that changed, considering a stock cam car makes peak power at 5200 or so. You will have to get it tuned to change that or have someone with HP tuners change it. Im sure one of our sponsors can take care of that for you.

If you are not planning on major mods, pick up a hypertech hand tuner and do it yourself. If I remember correctly, I found one for 125.00 for my old TA. When the car was totaled, I put the PCM back to stock and sold it for 150.00 Good luck

Verdad Gallardo Well don't over rev the stock engine too much. I would still try to find a hypertech or similar unit. Plug it in, turn the key and follow instr. Five minute fix. You won't have to remove ur PCM and have your car down until you get it back.
