"First, although the study purports a link with diet soda drinkers when compared to non-soda drinkers, it could not establish a significant link when comparing occasional or modest drinkers to non-soda drinkers. In addition, the study only concludes that there may be a greater risk of stroke if consuming diet soft drinks frequently instead of its regular counterpart. "

Solution seems simple, drink non-diet soda...diet soda's are nasty anyway.
Btw, PEPSI > COKE.

We get screwed on Soda here. Non diet is corn syrup but if you buy Mexican Coke it's made with sugar cane. I just came back from Australia and they also have sugar cane which taste so much better.

I for one love Diet Dew...I love to workout so I watch my sugar intake..even though I'm a skinny bastard due too my genetics (I'm almost 31 yrs old and only 6'1" 190lbs..pretty sad)

I've read many articles on this study and nothing is proven it's all skepticism at this point. They are all also trying to make the same case about Salt..lol..really..SALT....

The bottom line is there is no healthy Soda/Pop for you you..I'm just addicted to the caffiene and don't drink coffee because I like my teeth.

Seriously what doesn't cause cancer anymore????

Like you said, if you were really that concerned about your nutritional intake, you wouldn't drink soda at all.

Also if soo many studies are concentrating on putting a link to artificial sweeteners and cancer, maybe you should be concerned. But caffine is a powerful drug, lol.

Well strokes and cancer are entirely different... as im sure you know.

Your body is like a pool of water, not sure if any of you guys have ever taken care of a pool, but the majority of it is keeping the PH balance in check. Letting it get too alkaline or acidic allows for bad things to happen.

Your body needs to be Alkaline to heal itself. But your body creates acid in breaking down food, breathing, disposing of old blood cells, etc... even stress causes acid. So if you contribute too many things that are acidic, like soda, you can throw off the PH of your body. One of the easiest ways to dilute acid is drinking water. I dont know if they have linked this to reduce cancer, or if the drug administration would even allow such a thing to be published... but thats another topic. Id have to imagine that your body being able to heal itself properly, would have to help prevent cancer. But im not a Biologist.

From there your going to have to do your own research. Google PH balance.
