Since it's an SLP part, did you follow the correct instructions on SLP's website and use the washers UNDER the STB? Go read them.

you need washers? Shoot! guess ill have to find a set and remove the stb and put them in.

B, I've got an extra set from when I did mine (the washers came in an 8 pack). You can have them. They go UNDER the STB.

That STB bar does nothing but provide a hand rest when working on the car

A lot of the STBs fit like that. My GMS one was a tight fit too. it wasnt off by as much as this one, but I had to slam it down to get it on.
