Default GTO guys and techs come in.

Well I'm working on this 05 GTO. And it's kicking my *** lol. What's happening is that once In a while the fuel gauge goes dead (drops) and the ABS,AIRBAG, and other lights turn on. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. He said this happened after he went over some train tracks and sorta cought air. I replaced the batt. Since it was fat and it was old. Checked most of the module connections to see if there was any corrosion or anything like that and nothing. Still does it once in a bluemoon. Help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Check behind the glove box to see if the BCM wiring is getting crushed or kinked. That is a very common area on all 04-06 GTOs to have that issue. 04s had the cluster issue where the temp gauge, speedo, etc would all spike but after turning the car off and back on it would go back to normal. I dont think that applies in your situation though.

What this guy said.

Here's a write up if you need pictorial instructions.
