I personally think fisheye lens is totally lame but then again I'm not a big photography buff. I also think HDR is homo so what do I know?

You think it's homo because the only HDR you've been seeing looks "dramatic" and cartoonish. Here's what some of the more nicely done HDR looks like (not mine):

Not the average Joe has those skills. Some are really nice. Just over doing it is ghay.

I think CaliforniaBoy and TPI Terror are referring to the over done HDR's. A real HDR style picture where the artist actually does the layering and highlighting is a truly skilled art.

The "Average Joe" like Ace said that simply use a special program or Filter to create an overly done pics, that doesnt take much skill.

I think It all comes down to how there is 1 million kids with D-SLR's that all shot in Auto Mode and dont know how actually use the camera.

It takes practice. When you start shooting things like this with no Post-Processing (Unedited) just for ***** and gigs in the middle of the night, then you know someone knows how to use a camera. Most people dont even know how your ISO and your F stop will change your need for the Shutter speed.
