Stereo install
Part numbers
Radio wiring harness- Metra 70-1858
Dash kit for GM- 99-3300
Antenna adapter- Metra 40-GM10
Headunit- Pioneer DEH4300UB
The headunit is awesome, I connected my iPod directly in and it is so simple to navigate the menu to select a song, I don't even have to look at my iPod.
Here is a pic of it installed, sits nice a neat I actually like how this looks more than the factory headunit.

Congrats.
Does that one have any other colors? Mine you can choose between a red backlit face, or green. Seems like they didn't go through that with to many of their units from what I've seen myself. Love the scrolling wheel too. Didn't like it at first, but it really grows on you.

Pioneer I still say makes some of the BEST Head units out there. Alpine used to be ahead but fell back when they decided to never remodel their styles.
Your lucky Adam, Camaro Wiring is SO much easier to work with when you decide to change out the Trash Stock speakers. Your system Runs all speakers at 4ohms unlike the Trans Ams. Took me a year of research to figure out how the system was wired, and eventually Scrapped the entire stock wiring. Let me know when you wanna change out those speakers and install your subs. Sunday afternoon and a case of beer and done deal.

Yeah from what i was reading on the stereo section the sail panels are 4 ohms and the door speakers are at 2 ohms, but not sure if this is true but it was the sticky in the stereo section haha.
Either way i will be doing the subs today, and the speakers at some point, I want to do replace the sail panels and the door speakers here lol.
Also yes I can choose from like 15 different colors, I found one that matches the stock interior lights perfectly (lemon I believe is what it's called).
x1,000,000. Good thing there's double-DIN adapter faceplates for sale now. lol. I'm keeping stock because I'm a fan of the crappy equalizer and the headunits anti-theft properties... haha
Anti-Theft properties of the stock unit and Equalizer is poopies. Most decent aftermarket head units have an 8 band EQ built in. Switch it out Zex
Sound Quality usually gets better over stock, but then you end up blowing the Cheap Paper cone speakers.Yeah the TA sail panels are dual 4ohm voice coil speakers which run in series which lowers that speaker to 2ohms with I believe the Rear Trunk Panel speakers. And the Door Speakers Run off the head unit and all rear speakers off the Rear Amp. Im telling you, The wiring in the TA is Horse ****. Once you remove the speakers from the doors, Usually its stamped on the back how many ohms.
I was talking about how it looks stock, and nobody wants a to steal a stock headunit around here.

I like just being able to reach over and adjust the levels without having to read the display and push "accept" or "next" buttons for each setting. Remember those old school equalizers? I wish I had one of those. lol. Makes switching the levels between different radio stations and iPod tracks easier.
Already changed out the door speakers with some cheap Clarions. Was going to switch to some low-cost Polk DB-651S/DB-651 front/rear when I had $120 to blow on audio. Still not sure what headunit I want, since double DINs seem to be theft magnets on daily drivers.

I wish I would've waited but with the constant change in technology you can only expect better thing to come on a daily basis...
Well nice setup, I have yet to replaced my speakers the previous owner ran electric cable to the speakers(my car has moonson) so I want to clean that up, most likely will do it when I install the sound deadener (https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/1435222-quality-budget-sound-deadening.html)
Alright I'm going to post before I run out of battery on my phone see ya

THANKS seriously
The "Weird" ones I was referring to was the Single Din stereos with the oversizes Faceplate. Not the Stereo Bezel/trim.
