Default How do I clean my block

Soi want to clean my short block. Its on a stands btw
What do I use and how with out getting debree
In between the pistons and the walls

Dish soap, clean it all out, then marvel mystery oil. Best scenario is you pull the rotating assembly and clean it apart.

There's a Simple Green that's made for Aluminum works really good, the normal Simple Green or Purple Power will pit up and or stain aluminum.

You can get the aluminum safe Simple Green at most airports.

^ Ha! used simple green on my undercarrige and wiped the paint right off.

I like this idea too Gil. You want some kind of non abrasive cleaner, dish soap is used since it is good at cutting through grease and not really harsh. The important thing is to let it dry out and then lube it so that everything does not get dried out and messed up.
