machine shop in ventura ca area I have a set of gen 1 sbc 350 heads that i need checked out and valve job and resurfacing done on if they are good, any recommendations?

does anyone have a set of good (ie not trash) stock 350 heads in the ventura area?

I got my Patriot heads done by a shop in ventura, and it SEEMED like they did a good job, but I am not really sure if I can pass them along, seeing as one of my patriots has a completly blown valve giude in it, making the head pretty much a big useless unrepairable paperweight now. So I dont know if it is of any fault to them or not. The heads only had about 500 miles on the rebuild.
The shop's name was "West Coast Eng & Cylinder Head" off of 5th street.
