Default OBD1 LT1 Dyno Tuning Near San Diego?

Seems no one does OBD1 LT1 tunes anymore and they take more time to tune properly so they cost more, just my luck. If you're going to suggest CMS, Ryne doesn't do LT1's anymore. I am willing to drive over an hour to a good dyno shop. Any suggestions?

TAD still does dynos at HMS. Best bet would be contacting him through email at: protools4@aol.com

Tell him "Nick via LS1tech" sent you. And work with him to set something dyno-wise at HMS in Inglewood or another select shop in orange, CA.

What mods do you have? With a bolt on/minor mods car, you should have no problem with a mail order tune.

Check out madtuner.com he's one of the best.

Mods in sig, motor is quite tame. I have a tune from Ion, but am still having a lot of issues with knock and retard, figured once I get the horrible oil consumption problems cleared up a dyno tune is the only way I'll get everything straightened out. Do you think I should just try again with another tune from him? I just got a smog notice, no way in hell am I going to pass as things are now. I could hardly pass with 15k on a fresh motor. I haven't even driven it in a month due to abrupt and unexplainable driveability issues that come and go on their own. It's my DD, having to borrow the wife's car and my dad's truck. Sucks.

JBA doesn't seem to be great with GM stuff, let alone LT1 GM stuff. They actually built my motor. I'm looking elsewhere from now on.

Sounds to me like you have other problems besides the tune. Ion can tune much more radical setups sight unseen with better results, so I'd say you have some mechanical issues there.

Don't take this the wrong way but I seem to remember you've been having major issues with this car for a very long time and seeing as its your daily driver it must not be very convenient. Have you considered just cutting your losses and getting something with less headache for now?

Yes, I'm looking for a low miles (-50k) LS1 T/A soon, but am unsure of what, if anything I can afford right now. I'm kind of in the middle of it, ya know? Not sure which direction to go. It seems at times that getting things worked out with the LT1 would be cheaper in the long run, and at other times not at all. Kind of damned either way. It would definitely help if I got a "regular" car, but I've tried driving a normal car for months, it makes me incredibly depressed. You can call me crazy, I won't be offended. Hell I even looked at Subaru STI's.

Also I don't think I can sell the LT1, not only because I wont get anything for it, but because my dad helped a lot on it and that would be like a punch in the face.
