picked up ford 9in

pretty excited..

its 63.5 from flange to flange !!

gonna wake up early to pull it apart. minimal surface rust.

anyone got a gear guy in the valley that knows the ford 9 !!!wanna drop some 4.56's

Hoopers could do it. They may not do it right the first time, but they'll take care of you... For usually a hefty price.

just bought some brand new Motive 4.56's

too bad its not a spool.. its an open carrier.. but i really want a spool.

someone told me i can put on the jeep grand cherokee disc brakes on the ford 9. anyone know of this ?

They specialize in Ford rears, so I think you'll be ok going there.

If you are taking them the pumpkin and gears, it should be much cheaper.

If you go there, post what they charged you.

I do my own rear end work. After my divorce when my rear went out and I didn't have a place to work on my car, I went to Hoopers. It was expensive for them to work on my 10 bolt. I think it was $400, maybe 5.

About 3 months later, the pinion bearing starting making noise. I took it back and they did honor their work and set it all up for free. My gears were wining so he installed a set of 3.73s (my choice) at no charge.

I'd still recommend them. If you are working on a project car, I'd wait until you are almost ready for it to run, so you can take advantage of the warranty. Nothing worse than something going wrong and it's out of warranty because the car was sitting in your garage for 9 months
