I was laughing when I heard that too. Those cars ran 10.7 at fontana so, 200mph in a 1/4mi in the street? yeah right. The "street races" seemed a bit scripted to me. I think it all it did was create more anti performance car hippies here in SoCal.

Im sure they are but the show said that success at Fontana would bring them customers in droves. Really? The semi-pro and pro racers either have a shop they use, own a shop or do their own stuff. Also when they come out on tv saying they all got felonies and crap and theyre out street racing saying stuff like '**** the track its all about the street', do they think thats going to bring them the buisness of real racers that know their stuff and do things legit? I dont think so. I think the show might hurt their buisness in the sense of bringing in the demographic of customers they were looking for and it hurts, or worsens, the way people see muscle and performance cars here in CA. One step towards government issued prius' for everyone. Lol.

Default LA Street Racers

Most of you probably don't know/have forgotten, but in the late '70's, early '80's there were the the "Banzai Racers"...these guys ran basically street legal Can Am cars (Lola T 70's, McLaren M 6's, 512's)...LA magazine did an article on the "sport". The 405 at 3 AM with helicopter spotters...a high dollar event...these were serious cars. 185 to 210 was common, and the runs lasted for quite a distance...

And everyone talks about "the old days"!!

Just to share...

i watched it. i watched them **** up at the track. they rushed. big mistake.

that all being said...i see there a lot of what i remember from the 80's at front st in philly. i see the same stupid **** going on.
i can;t believe i was that stupid once upon a time, or that i managed to not kill myself or someone else. i did see someone kill a couple people though....which is why i stopped.

Lol. Relax kid. I mentioned what I saw on the show. The show said "reaching speeds close to 200mph in a qtr mile." Dont get mad because people are mentioning what they saw on the show. You guys still aint going nowhere besides your little world in the south bay area. Anyway, good luck. See ya.

thats right, the king doesnt leave the kingdom... all the peasants flock to his feet..

your all just jealous because they came to us due to our notorious racing reputation - we were ones that sprouted all those stupid little movies like "fast and furious" "born to race" "pinks" its all because of west coast street racing, LA to be exact, COMPTON! -- thats why national geographic ---a documentary film firm chose us for this piece in history...

what have you accomplished?

thats right, you are the go nowhere nobody.

the old combo was our basic 4.125" 421ci storker LS2 with our CPR CNC Ported stock casting LS3 heads, 5 angle VJ and a hand blend - 13:1 . Custom cam and valve train. Also custom 1-7/8" headers we built on the car.

new combo going in for this season is 441 Our custom LS7 CNC Ported Heads with 13:1 and custom ECU and Nitrous fogger.

half way thru the season we hope to have our dominator combo together which consists of RHS block 427 6 bolt LS7 CPR CNC Ported Heads flowing over 400cfm intake and twin GTX4294R's *** mounted with a water/air intercooler... that will make 1700-1800HP.
