Take a drive out here and look at my corvette. It's been at pleanty of car shows throughout the six years I've owned it. The 72 was another quick job. I guess I was more concerned about shaving the side markers, back dating the door handles and getting the ls1 in there.
Feel free to post your car in here.
Sooo your work is great..... and shitty. whatever. If you used a booth, took your sweet time and prepped properly, a spray can has the potential to look half way decent, but again, spray guns were invented for a reason. This is not the intention of a rattle can, and when I point out the imperfections in your work, your answer is just "yeah that's shitty." I don't get it..

Um, ok.... my car goes in plenty of car shows, too.... Car isn't flat, or resprayed, but notice the direct sunlight and 0 blemishes.

So your saying I'm poor because I went off and ruined a shirt paint job? That was my while reason for doing it. If you don't have anything positive to say, kick rocks Brody. why don't you get the man an actual paint job since you seem to have a problem with this thread.

Yeah not a HUGE fan of rattle can jobs. Dont last long, Never perfect and you cant reverse the job.

Vinyl is the BEST way to do two tone jobs or full Matte or satin.

Couple previous jobs I did.

**** a spray booth. If its a primered race car this paint makes the car look uniform. If time is taken, the results are perfect. These ignorant judgments arent necessary. Why are you guys so hung up on making things reversible anyway? Did you save the piece of core support you removed? Be more worried about the fact that youre scared to drive w out traction control and you can't remove your wiper arm without cracking your windshield. Lol.
More spray paint to cry about.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, howd the thread get so off topic?

everyone knows who is local and that has been to the shop that the vette is in mint shape... no questions there.

... like i said i want a different look, something i havent done yet with any of the previous f bods i have owned. I will most likey go the vinyl way now that i think about it more and more as i could add a shade of lighter grey or gloss black in the mix. We ll see still have 6 weeks to decide. But personally, i could care less about it being reversible.

Attitudes like this are why most people do the same boring **** to their cars. If you go and see the work chris does.. It does look just as good as a wrap when he WANTS IT TO. As with anything, there are times when people dont feel like putting all the effort into a cheap car or when its only temporary anyway.

Just because everyone doesnt feel like spending a million dollars on a professional wrap doesnt mean its any less effective

Talk about half assed.. What about a turbo car with stock brakes and suspension lol

I was not knocking your work.

Im only speaking for my customers. 80% of them are on leases and like the idea of being able to remove that Black tops/Hoods/Trunks/entire car wraps when the lease is over.

There is no piece of stock suspension on that car.... don't know where you're pulling up that bs from but whatever.

He himself said the work was ****, so what do you want? Maybe the guy did some decent prep work and was able to do a half way decent job. Still ruins the car. End of story.

And my cracked windshield came from opening the hood accidentally with the wiper up, not trying to remove it. Also no traction control, no thanks.

I think its interesting how there have been hundreds of threads on CETA mods and almost all of them were rattle canned and no one says anything, but because someone does it on a vette its blasphemy. A C5 FRC isn't even a 20K car anymore, who cares? And I could care less about making something reversible. If its your car build it how you want it, not how the next guy does. Vinyl has its place on cars but for something like Chris did I would do the same. If you take your time no one knows the difference.
