Hi everyone,
I moved to California for my first duty station at camp Pendleton, so I knew I needed a car and so I've come across these two as my choices. Give or take I have around 6-6.5k to spend which would you choose?

But to be honest I really do want the 6spd but the auto has such low miles and is completely stock.
Help would really be appreciated,
Travis

Try to stay away from the 98's if you can, they were the worst of all the years. Try and find an 01 or 02 and get something as stock as possible so you know all the work done on it was done the right way. Just my $.02.

Mileage doesnt mean ****, its about how its been taken care of and how its been driven. Ignore the numbers and just look at both. Drive both. Whichever one has the better feel and is in better overall shape is the winner. Judging by just the photos, it does look like the lower mileage one is nice. Throw a converter in it if you like to race.

Wah, lets not turn this into a auto vs. 6 speed debate.
Besides, the 6 speeds ive smoked dont tell the the same tale as you.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Both have their ups and downs, I'd take a clean auto car that's above average versus a worn out manual car all day long. And since the autos are "so cheap" that will leave you plenty of money to invest in a nice converter.
