Hey guys I am looking for a ls motor for my car and a 6 spd. I want to go forced induction to add power later, I was told that 5.3 motors are the best for this purpose. I am wondering if anyone in northern california has a location to get the 5.3 motors easily? Are these the best motors for a forced induction application or would an ls1 work just as well? I want to have around 500hp to the rear wheels in the end but I want a decent running motor that will be durable in till the end.I just want it to be a durable motor that will be good for now and can handle forced induction for the future. Guys thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hey Alex does it come with a 6spd or a trans? I was kinda looking for at least a 5.3. What's the difference between that' and a 4.8?

No it doesn't come with the t56, the 4.8 has flat top pistons and its a smaller ci motor. Not much of a difference when talking FI either.

the 4.8 is every bit as good for boost and strength as the 5.3, its just smaller.
