Found this on the "Ask a Professional Detailer" thread in the appearance section. This was the reply:

Vinyl can be a touchy thing.... you will have to polish it, but you never want to get aggressive with vinyl. I'd suggest a light polishing product applied by machine (a porter cable, no rotary) on a pad with little to no cut like Lake Country white or black and work it in on a slow speed like 3-4. Zaino All-In-One or Klasse All-in-one would be good to try here. You might be able to get away with Meguiars 205. If none of these are working, you may want to get a new piece of vinyl as it may be too sun damaged.

You could also get a body shop to shoot some clear coat over them. I wouldnt think it would actually be that expensive or take that long. Worth a shot to call a local body shop.

Buy another car for work or a car cover for that one.

We recommend never wax your decals. After washing your car make sure whoever dries it does not dry the decals aggressively or this will lift up the edges over time.

Vinyl decals should last in the sun if the vinyl is automotive grade for a number of years. We recommend our "slide over" product to keep your decals in shape and shiny. The slide over is great for dashes, tires etc. and does not leave a greasy film like other products on the market. Call us or visit our website for further assistance.
