high flow cats, will it pass smog?

Default high flow cats, will it pass smog?

sup, well i have a bone stock 06 ctsv and just when i was going to smog it the check engine light turned on, it says bank1 p0420 from what i remeber... anyways, my friend told me its a bad cat... i have a set of kooks and high flow bassani cats i was going to install after it passed smog.... if i mount the high flow cats on the stock manifolds will it pass smog? anyone know? thanks

My guess is that it should not pass on both visual & emissions, but that does not mean that it won't pass. I would suggest considering a pre-smog before doing the actual smog.
It could pass the emission portion and the 2 ways might be overlooked on the visual.

Depending on the tech guy who its doing the smog. My.friend was getting his STOCK 02 ss smogged and the smog tech was giving **** because the tech said his STOCK cats are not california compliance cats

Random Techs will pass emissions not visual, but I imagine any quality high flow cat will pass emissions on a reasonably unmodified car.
