Donlee Motors is in Rancho Cucamonga. Try p/c search mode
Andy at A & A Corvettes, either Ventura or oxnard. Andy is listed as a supporting vendor at Corvetteforum, & maybe DonLee motors, also.

Don Lee Auto is quick and the best I have seen. I have tried alot of shops in the so cal area and all of them besides Don Lee have left me swearing that I would never be back. Especially LA Performance Division.

I am curious what problems you encountered with LAPD?

FWIW, Donlee performance is reasonably well known amongst the turbo Buick peeps, also. They have a drop dead beautiful about '65 Buick Skylark with either a stage 1 or 2 Buick turbo motor that runs down in the 10's, maybe.

I brought my car to LAPD for a tune. In the attempt to do that they found a fuel pressure problem. It took them a month to try and figure it out so I pulled the car, brought it to Don Lee and it was done in 4-5 days.

Another vote for Don Lee Auto.

Dropped off my car on a Thursday evening for an ENGINE REBUILD, and by the next Friday (12 noon) my car was ready.

This was about 6 months ago. The motor is great and has never ran better. It has multiple passes at the track and is sprayed AT LEAST once a week.

Don Lee Auto

I would go with Strictly Performance over Don Lee any day
Pricing is more fair at Strictly. Hell, I took in a supercharger bracket to have installed in my TA cause I was kind of lazy to do it, and Don Lee charged me a godd $500+ because they go by an hourly rate. Talk to Rob at Strictly, great guy with a great personality. Best customer service I have seen.

It sounds like Don Lee Auto is very capable mechanically, however, I was wondering how well do they treat the vehicle while in their care? Also, what does the shop look like? Is it clean and tidy, or a mess? thanks

Don Lee is a small clean shop. They have maybe 3 bays and due to their size when they start a project they finish it. The are not like a lot of other stupid companies that take on more work than they can handle, and before you know it your car has been put on the back burner.

I have dealt with too many companies that get over their head with work load, and Don Lee is not one of them.

stricktly is not as good as they are saying. i was there getting an exhaust done which took 3 trips down there, about and hour drive to and hour back. two of the trips on open headers, because they promised something and could not come through. very hard to get a hold of, late, and very undependable. i guess in the case of 12secSS, i am not personal friends with Rob so i did not get the treatment you probably do. i would definately not recommend them to anyone.

I've dealt with both shops and I'd say they are both great. If you're in the OC Don Lee's is a little closer, if you're in LA Strickly is a little closer. One thing I like about Rob is he is a real enthusaist, and really enjoys helping you get the most out of your car. One thing I like about Don Lee's is they are wicked fast at getting your car in and out.

Ive had a few things done at Strictly within the last few months. I must say I am pleased. Especially with the prices. Rob, from what I can tell, runs a no- BS shop, and I like that.

He has never tried to beat around the bush, and has always answered my questions with honest, straight-forward, and real info. I will be going back to him for my TD set up after the new years, and Im looking forward to the quality of work I have come to expect from him, yet again.

I have not dealt with Don Lee's, but I guess I bever got the chance. Before I found SP, I called Don's like 3 different times for some work, and they were always booked, or after, Rob then had a better price for me. Im sure they do fine work, but Rob goes out of his way for me (and my million questions), so Ill be going to him for my next few projects. To each his own I suppose.

Take Care All.
