Visiting SoCal Im going to be in SoCal (where I am from) for a few weeks at the end of june/early July. Are there any car events going on? Where is the local track?
I will be anywhere from L.A. to palm springs to San Bernardino and everywhere inbetween.

june 25th is the rim of the world cruise up to big bear, ill be participating in that for sure...
the closest track is california speedway in fontana, and after that its LACR in palmdale.
I live in banning, so im right between san bernardino and palm springs.
im sure we will have a few more cruises out to palm springs for the street races or whatever during the time frame your out here....

Rim of the world cruise......can you get me anymore info on this? I will be in arriving the day before, Friday the 24th.
I'll be in my SOM SS. How much do you think I would get hassled for being out of state, having dumped exhaust, windows being 5% and the WHOLE windshield 35%?

i wouldn't worry about it, the only thing is the whindshield, but i dunno how serious they are about it....
go through the western forums and look for the rim of the world cruise by fbody addict. it will give you everything you need on the event.

The SAAC (Shelby autos) convention is July 1-3 at the Irwindale / Fontana Speedway. There will be every conceivable Shelby made, and the Man himself. Open track, and a Trans AM race (open to all makes).
I wish I could be there for the rim of the world cruise that looks bad ***! Maybe I'll call in sick with malaria or somethin..

If you can happen to make this event, by all means stop by and join the fun. It is an adrenaline rush cruising through the San Bernardino mountains. You get to see miles and miles of canyons, mountains and lakes. Quite a site to see. You would have a great time.

There should be a group from Fbody Addict and Immortals Car Club. I am very likely gonna miss out on this one. I just did a maps layout and it's 90 miles each way just to get there, plus i'm guessing a 100 mile cruise. I calculated $50-$60 in just gas alone. dohhhhhhhh!!!!
