I was wondering if any of the CO members are planning on going to the Street Car Shootout at Bandimere this Sunday? 08/13/05

 

Yea, I think I will, hope it don't rain. I'll call my son (he's a tech Inspector) and get the scoupe. I'll let ya know for sure and we can hook up.

 

I'm not planning on racing but I would like to get some video of some fellow F-body and vette owners. I only have a few friend's with stangs. It would be nice to see a good showing of GM's.

 

I'm not going to race either, although I'm getting pressure from my family. I'll be sitting at the starting line, a few rows up, with wife and two boys, wearing a black hot rod u hat, Stop by

 

Just went on-line w/Bandimere, it's $12 for specs, $30 to race, gates open at 8. I believe this is a new event here, tied into a national thing. Thier calling it the"16 US national street car shoot out". There's 2 catagories 12.99 & up and below 12.99, all dot tires. Sounds good, I'm looking forward to seeing some badass ls1 cars

 

I probably won't be going on Sunday but I was thinking of going next Wednesday for t&t.

 

If i have my car back, i'll be going.
gonna be a week or so I think though.

I showed up, saw a few f bodies. One nitroused and running high 13's!? I saw more 13 second Hondas than f bodies. What does a stock Z06 run up here in the mountains? I'm a bit faster than thatso that will give me a benchmark. Thanks

the viper i raced ran a best of 13.1
the zo6 i raced ran a 13.3 next to me.

they both have a few tenths in them, but that about it w/an average driver.

 

What was your uncorrected time/speed for the run in your sig?

 

Yeah mid 13's for a stock z06.. Need FI up this high...

i will prolly lower it a lil next time as my clutch is gettin done wed.
had to short shift on that run.

 

Okay thanks. I want to get into the 13's someday but it looks like that probably won't happen till I get a new cam.

 

if your a hell of a driver, 13.9 is possible as that is adjusted to 12.9 which is movin for a stocker, but possible.

one guy did a 13.8 with just suspension.

I was there, the fastest LS1 I saw ran an 11.55, saw a black TA break a U-joint, Gooses green LT1 ran 13.4's I think. Weather was great, good air, I wish I would have ran, but I paid for my son to race instead.

 

I looked for a White T/A and saw nothing of the sort? Ah well
