I run consitent mid 7.80's at qualcomm at 91 mph with 1.8 60' times. My car weighs somewhere around 3900-4000 with me in it. A4 with a stock converter. It makes 440ish on the dyno. That should give you a general idea of where you are at. BTW, you better have a hell of a shot to knock a full second off your 1/8th mile time.

"went to the track for the first time and wasnt happy with the results. my first run i didnt launch and ran a 9.1 with the tires at 20 psi i have mt drag radials. My best time is 8.598 @ 83.55 mph but i spun 1st gear launching at just under 3k my 60' was 2.178 what can i do to improve my times................"

(ls1 are fast...especially with a cam..
those are great times the MPH should go up with a little more with traction...at least 1-2 mph...your car should go 8.20's on motor....let me know what you hit on the bottle...)

That should make things a little interesting. I am very curious to see how it does. Good luck.

It takes more than just power to go fast if you want to improve your times get suspension it will help out alot because you can have 600 rwtq it wont do any good unless you get it on the ground. Also what size tire do you have, if you have a manual i dont recommend using a drag radial i would go with a full slick. Also if you have the stock rear get a 9 inch with some 4.xx gears so you can launch harder and not break anything, if your planing on using a 250 shot get all the safety stuff with it and make sure you get enough fuel for it because you wouldnt want to lean out your motor and .

as far as the nitrous goes I know what I'm doing....I had a 200shot on the stock motor
for almost a year!!!!the opti killed that motor!!!!(missfire broken rotor)

You could still fit a bigger tire on there but you will need to roll the fender and grind down the inner fender. if you havnt done so i would remove the front swaybar and add some hals with a drag spring for better weight transfer i have them and i felt the difference on the launch i just need to hook. Thanks for the offer to help but i work at a shop and have everything i need.

I got my car back from the shop.the rear end came out ok.I notice a big difference in acceleration and the car feels like its on rails.I'll be doing the rest tomorrow with the help of some freinds.I didn't get my registration and tags so I'll have the car on the trailer.By the way doug can't make it to Phoenix so he will be there with his car.he claims 6.3 at Irwindale with 150 shot half down the track.
