ive been thinking of a swap too... but i was thinking since funds are tight, i might just stick with a SOHC D16, and add v tec later on down the road after i pay the car off. i talked to this guy who also swapped in a D16 into his 92 firebird and that thing screamed, i think his mods were a DC header, to a 1 1/2" pipe straight back to a APC super-flow muffler canister. he also mentioned having a AEM intake and a skunk2 manifold, along with a direct-port Vtec, all controlled by his stand alone fuel system, not a bad way to spend 10 grand. about a week later i saw him at the track and his car wasnt running right, so i suggested to tune his nos timing and then he ran 9's.

9's? that's it? With all those mods he should be in the mid to low 8's. If he gets traction that is.
Hey Greg, do you know where I can find that direct port v-tec kit? I saw one a while back on ebay but I cant find it anymore? Are they that outdated?
Also, with the B16, I wont be pulling that hard until Vtec. What can I do about that besides weight reduction?

oh yeah every now and them you have to tune you nos to run 9's, just dont light a match near it it is very explosive, my friends green eclipse caught fire once and thank god he got out of there in time before that nos exploded
