well either one of the 2 things happened:
1. car wasnt meant for 4.10s, caused too much strain to the transmission *due to new tires and perfect traction, and also going above 70 mph* which then caused the tranny pump to move and shake and become disconnected which then took the rear main oil seal to go out as well *dripping oil*.
2. Gear shop did not disconnect the drive shaft which then let it hang thus pulling the tranny fluid pump and causing it to slowly yet surely shake and rattle enough to have all the fluid drop out of it thus causing my tranny to blew up due to heat, no fluid, ect.
my dads gf *who is a certified master mechanic and specialized in GM* says its probably situation number 1 and 4.10s are too much and my 3.23 were the perfect gears.
either way i get wholesale price on a new 4L60E or rebuild to performance spec. but its still all that money out the door for no reason.

tranny fluid pump was disconnected, and he is pretty sure theres a lot of internal damage from that...i mean theres a SLIGHT SLIGHT SLIGHT chance that it didnt hurt anything, but he said its very unlikely, we are pulling it off right now..and going to dig in there and see whats up..but he said most likely im going to need a new tranny

it'll all work out, probably the stress of the gears amplified a problem that was already there...
I'm planning on flatbedding the TA home tonight, was under her today and the rear is leaking pretty bad...But i have the money for a 9" now, so 6000k launches here we come...

your pump came disconnected?? this is impossible!!!
you either fryed the pump or some clutches in the trans? or the converter went bad?
the trans was already weak! yet the gears (nothing wrong with the gears) put more stress on the trans "thus" causing it to go out!!!
you will never get a 4l60e to stand behind it for very long with gears and motor work! NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU THROW AT IT!!!!!!! the are too expensive to build and will never be as strong as a turbo 350-400 would be.
if you want a daily driver then go with th 4l60e but if you want to play? i would do the swap and save all the money and headaches.
