This is silver98- I hit the rev limiter all the time. Ask BlackZ what a bent/ broken pushrod sounds like. You will know when you did something wrong!

BZC here- If it sounds like you have a small ticking noise, something that would sound like an exhaust leak, then your probably have an issue with a pushrod. I've broken one before, and the 3 places I took it to said that i was just an exhaust leak. Chances are you broke probably the No.8 pushrod on the exhaust or intake side. If it does have a noise, stop driving IMMEDIATELY! Take the valvetrain apart this afternoon, if you can, and inspect everything to see if there is some damage. Chances are, if you just bounced off the limiter, it wont do any damage. Otherwise, you might do some damage to head, like my car. It might tweak them a bit, but nothing bad. If you missed a shift and over revved it hard, then I would put the blame on the pushrods.

In any case, let us know what's up. I have a set of chromoly pushrods that you can get for dirt cheap if you broke one.

I hit the rev limiter all the time. Damn RPMs climb too fast. I need a shift light I guess? I should probably just rip my whole motor apart and rebuild it? Im sure that nitrous did a number on the piston rings
