Default Tucson emissions?

Just wanting to see what kind of emissions there are around the Tucson area? Me and the family are thinking of moving somewhere around Tucson next summer and just wanting to see how the emissions and other laws are there?

If you live in town you are supposed to go through visual inspection and exhaust gas testing for any car over 5 years old. I haven't had to do it yet, but I've heard they're not as strict as they are in California.

I passed last year with lt's and no cats. they just never looked. Most of the major modded cars hold reg. out side of pima and pinal county. I will reg. mine in serra vista this year. You can ask others on our local club site.

yeah on my 99 ss all they did was check the gas cap and plug into the computer to see if it was throwing any codes. if you dont have any codes i say you will probably pass. even if you have no cats or whatever, usually the emissions people are too lazy to look underneath, especially on such a low car.

Good, I hope they don't check cause I don't think my combo would pass if they check almost anything. I'm also planning on doing more to it this winter so it kinda made me nervous. So can you register your car outside of the county you live in or do you have to register it where you live? I've never had to worry about emissions where I live so this is all new to me.
