Hell yeah. The initial learning curve is steep, but very rewarding as stated above.

If you want it done fast, take it to a tuner.

Actually he is not that far off. Most LS1s weigh in at 3500lbs stock. Add 200lbs for the average driver and you have a 3700lbs RACEWEIGHT. So even at 3400lbs like you said and a 150lb driver you're still at 3550 which is pretty portly.

You should be able to pull those times on stock internals easily. I ran my T/A with stock internals, 3800stall, 3.73s, gutted cats and a cutout to a 12.5@110mph. My fully loaded C5 auto went 12.5@111mph 1.91 60' with just a filter, offroad X-pipe and sticky tires. So totally doable as long as your DA is good. I wish you luck

Well, due to a stripped thread on one of his lugs, he had to run on 17" drag radials but our exhaust/tune/lid/converter car just ran 12.6 with a 1.9 60', so considering on the ET streets he runs a consistent 1.80 60' the car just pretty much laid down a 12.4 if he would have had the tires on that pass....seems to be shifting just fine and there is more left in it!

What a car does and what it could've done are two separate things. You have an animal there Nick, My best in my 98 is a 12.21@110 with the mods below at probably 800ft, D.A might have been -100 from what I heard. I ran at LACR on 10/11 & only pulled 13.11's all day..the D.A was at 4500ft, Your times seem a little fast at 2700 D.A, But you must have a factory freak..My car dynoed 334rwhp & it weighs 3472 with me in it. I just can't see you running 12.20's at 2700ft when my best time at LACR in January of this year was a 12.78(With Front Skinnies & the mods below) My 60' was 1.74..I would say the D.A was close to 2700 on that day. How can you be a half second faster with less mods than me? It doesn't seem to add up. 1/2 a sec is about 50rwhp which puts it close to 400rw that Bryan is talking about.

Well...2700 DA is what the weather station read. Honestly, I dont know how to explain how the car runs what it runs. The mods I have listed are all that is done to the car. There are others who run the same if not quicker. They're just far and few between.
