anybody know a smog guy? its that time where I need to get smog checked. I am totally illegal. gutted cats, and just running y-pipe, no cat-back. question: does anybody know someone who can let me slide by smog while earning a few extra bucks? I live in the los anageles area, so if u guys know anyone, pm or just reply with a name and the station i could do it at. a phone number or something could also be helpful. i have to pass smog this MONTH! so i am kind of in a hurry, thanks
First of all, no one is going to post that information online. Secondly, you will not find a single smog person that will pass a car without cats, unless your car is capable of burning clean without cats, which I highly doubt. The smogging system is so automated now that smoggers cannot ignore the sniffer test. The only thing they can sneak you by is the visual.

Jesus christ I wish I was a mod I'd delete all this crap.
The internet is not the place to look/ask for that kind of stuff. No one knows who you are, and no one is going to post any info, and if they do, they are extremely retarded and will probably get people into a lot of trouble.
If you really want smog hookups, you have to make friends in person with people. No one is going to risk a business for someone they don't know.

I don't think it should be allowed to be talked about at all, period, on the boards. Asking for information about illegal practices on a public forum just isn't a bright idea, no matter who you are or how long you've been a member.
Cause face it, if word about a 'smog hookup' circulate, that hookup probably isn't going to be too happy and want to be a 'hookup' anymore.
If you just need to pass visual, just find some place with towel heads that don't speek english, they'll pass you. If you need a straight hookup, you better start hanging out with local clubs/speedshops. End of story.

On a lighter note.....Did you honestly think that with Kali's (yes, I know that Kali is the Hindu God of destruction) smog laws that someone would volunteer this kind of info on a public forum?

I personally was joking with the all caps stuff. I didn't think you could even get illegal smog done for OBDII. Older cars maybe, but OBDI and OBDII is pretty tightly controlled by the state. When I lived in LA the smog shops were all over my 96 Z28 (mirrors to check for cats, check list for components)....and it was unmodified.

I'll admit I have been tempted to ask this question in the past. I decided not to after giving it some thought. It's not a good idea for many reasons, including the ones posted. No one should ever answer a question like this on the internet. It's all about who you know(in person).

nothing against you stickboy it's just that this kind of **** tends to put up a red flag . anyone can be anybody online and (if) someone is stupid enough to say yeah here you go it would **** **** up for everyone involved and even people who are not involved just my 2 cents
