Default Best underdrive pulley?

Did some searching last night but didn't come up with squat, maybe I was searching for the wrong word(s) who knows

Anyhow what's everyones opinion on the best underdrive pulley out there (ASP, SLP, Powerbond, etc)? I'm wanting to get one soon and don't like cheap (not $$ wise but quality wise) **** on my vehicles because you'll pay twice as much in the end. Thanks.

ASP here as well.

Seems to be the most popular choice on here.

Do either of you use the alternator pulley as well or just the U/D?

Asp is lighter, SLP weighs the same as the stock pulley. I think the SLP looks better though. My bro has asp in his 00 SS. I heard the asp has to be modified to install a cam.

True. But only with the double roller timming chain. Still then the newer version of the asp pulley(SFI appoved)will fit. Its the older ones that need to be modified.

I got the alternator pulley as well. No problems at all and only like 22 bucks I believe.

So if I understand you correctly the newer version of the asp won't need to modified to fit a double roller chain? I do plan on upgrading the oil pump and chain when I get a cam done. Did asp change the part #'s between the non sfi and sfi approved or is there a visual difference between the two?

From what I have heard the newer version of the pulley is the one with the SFI sticker on it. Mine fit fine cause I bought it at the begging of last year.

Not sure on the part numbers, I am guessing its the same. There is a visual difference here is a pic ----->

Do you have the pulley already? or are you planning on buying one later on.

You need the overdrive for a system if you are having charging problems.
