Rx-7 goes down in a hurry...

Rx-7 goes down in a hurry... half-asleep driving the gf home the other night on I-10E this old rx-7 paces me for 3 miles "showing off" his loud BOV and flame spitting exhaust. I finally get sick of it and drop it into 3rd, cutout blaring in his face, he downshifts and I hear his turbo start spooling so I hammer it, he gets a little bit of a jump, but I pass him quickly and pull 5 cars to 110, i get on the brakes hard and he pulls up next to me and starts the same "showing off" crap again 
. I just got off the freeway shaking my head and laughing.

Sounds like a fun race.. I don't usually race up there. Usually at Sacramento or one of the 1/8th mile setups in San Diego.
I'm going on the anti-tour in my RX7 which starts up north and ends up in San Diego for the Racelegal 1/8th mile drags.. you should hop on the caravan and come down here to race.

If you make it there on the Apr.1 T&T we can have a go. At this point in time, I'm not too interested in 1/8th mile racing. LACR on MAR.25 is having a street race night that I plan on attending. You should go. You might surprise some people.

no,i went the quarter but kept breaking the rear, so only 1/8 mi, the best pass at irwindale was 7.20, the car runs 10.80 @ 128 on the motor now at cali speedway DA 2500, and 10.2 138 on 100 shot same DA, i only got one pass on the bottle, then they kicked me off for not having a 8 point certified cage.
