They bumped me up one class for having the RX7 which put me at a pretty bad disadvantage (a 2900 # stock motor car is not a good race against a well setup heads/cam cars or fully built 347 ford cars) but I got some good lights and some redlights in the other lanes. There were 10 second motor cars in my class which was a lot faster than I run on motor.

Did you run one of those 347 'Stangs? I couldn't believe how well they ran. I was beat by the Fox body, blue on skinnies and slicks. I had my worst 60' of the day (1.85, best was 1.61), he had me by two tenths at the 60, AND had more mph on the top.

I didn't see you out there (i don't think?) but there were a lot of really nice and fast vettes out there! What was your best pass? What class did you run in?
It was an awesome event and run really well and I can't wait for the september one. I might even install a roll bar for that one.

I had the black '02 ZO6 with skinnies and cheaters on black CCWs, small American flag sticker on the back window. I ran in SM, best pass was a 11.25@123.7 1.61 60'. My reaction times were good: .03, .04 .05 but my 60s were very inconsistent. On my losing pass against the 'Stang = 1.85! I think the issue was the order of running, i.e. SM ran right after SS (mostly street tire cars) and then brackets (some more of the same) and the track was getting oily. At least that is my current thinking. I usually am pretty consistent at Sac (and Famoso also) with 60s ranging from 1.58 to 1.62, so I was not a happy camper when I lost. But hey it was a fun event. I do plan on going in Sept.
