Default that was pretty lame

not only did you lock my thread but had to delete it as well so people couldn't see what you did?

Sorry I guess we can't say anything (even if it's the truth) if it has anything to do with a moderator. Since you got to state your opinion and I mine.. why did the thread need to be deleted and locked?

It was a thread asking if anyone knew JRP because we made a deal on a shortblock he was selling, set a time, in a PM he said we had a deal, and then he sold it from under me a couple days before I was supposed to pick it up. I'm over not picking up the motor, that's not the point anymore. I don't even want the motor because honestly if he's the kinda guy that is willing to sell it from under me there was probably something wrong with it. If he wanted a deposit to hold it all he had to do was say so and I would have done it, but I think he got a better offer after he made the deal with me.

Just posting up so people would know what he did and saying I thought it was a pretty lame thing to do after you make a deal with someone and they make plans to pick something up (was coming down to San Diego from northern california).

I thought it was really cheap that he locked and deleted the thread because it might happen to say something negative about him. He got a chance to defend himself but no one in the forums got to see it because he had the power to lock and delete the thread.

so whats my address? whats my phone number? what specific time where you supposed to pick up the motor?

thats what i thought. i had never gotten back to you yet to give you any specific information because jason had called me up saturday morning and picked up the motor. you were not inconvienced in anyway as you stated you were already coming down here to pick up a car.

my reputation and feed back on the forum speak for themselves, there is nothing to hide. and yes, i did get a better deal, im selling my parts to make money.

from my for sale thread:

*** i take and prefer paypal; khadafi3@juno.com. i know there will be more then one person wanting the same item, bottom line is money talks. first to send payment will get the item. also please put what you are buying in the comments line so i can keep track of who is getting what. thank you ***

... so why did you lock and delete the thread then?

Like I said I don't give a damn anymore about it, just was pretty crappy way to do business. Like I posted in the other thread this is the PM I got from JRP.

Thanks,

Aram

sorry, i wont go that low.

Shoot me back the lowest you'll go picked up and maybe we can work something out.

if you want it with everything listed $2250.

-jerami

If you can go $2100 picked up I could come by monday or tues with cash to pick it up.

you've got a deal. tuesday would be good for me, i get home at 6pm. i've got an engine hoist so if you have a truck then we can easily load it up in the back.

I replied saying I'd be down tues and he ignored it until a couple days later when he said it's sold.

Like I said, I don't care anymore. Just a crappy way to business, and even more shady to lock and delete my thread for even mentioning anything about it.

I'm done.

was your last PM, motor was sold in the morning 5/20. where is the lapse of a "couple of days"?

no money or product was exchanged. had i let you come down on tuesday and then said "sorry the motor has been sold", or had i took your money and delivered no product, you would have just cause to be angry and vent/complain through the appropriate channels. i removed said thread because all it was, was you bitching that you got "fucked" w/o justification. thats not what these forums are for.

I gotta go a little with Aram here, when you say deal , usually means an acceptance of terms or the sale. It seems to me you had a price, a time and means of delievery. Selling it to someone else and not communicating with the original bidder is bad practice. The key is communication.

If I were to tell you I would sell you an ounce of crack at said price and you expect to purchase said amout of crack at said price, if I were to sell it to someone else and not tell you until after, you would still be in need of said crack. I would look like a bad guy and you'd be pissed.

Point is - to Aram, LS1 shortblocks are like crack. GIVE ARAM HIS CRACK YO!

Anyway, shady, real shady.

there was nothing finalized to the degree of i'll meet you at X location at X hr for said amount of money. as stated, jason's friend called me up early saturday morning, Arams last pm was 8:36pm friday night. i was not going to pm (as that was the only contact information at hand) and wait around all day in hopes that he contacts me when another guy can be here in a hour or two with money in hand and means of transportation. simple as that do you know how many people have said they were interested in the shortblock, said they'd come and get it, or have it shipped out and then back out? if Aram wanted the motor bad enough HE should of offered or stated he would put down a deposit to secure said motor. thats not my responsibility.
