dude if you want you can get an old 280Z or RX-7 or something they cost maybe 300 bones out of the junk yard and they will be 12 second cars with the ls1 thats if you dont want something practical

yeah leaning more toward a gto if I wanted the ls1 motor or the cts-v but thats 30k. And if i did wind up getting a t/a for that 8-10k the rest would go into investments like the discussion we had at chris's that other night lol.
Or I could spend 3k on the dodge and invest the rest. too much too think about. I'm sure ill get more opinions tomorrow. Looking for decent power, a/c, reliability, sexyness @ or around 15k. the Rx7 would be a sweet drag car though.

besides, its their fault for leaving a crap load of quarters in their car in the first place.
ive even taken a few cd's here and there.

And it's not borrowing unless you give it back. Putting the car owner's change into the soda machine doesn't qualify. Sorry.

QUESTION FOR TRUCK CHRIS
my dad and i are about to put in the big hoss package on his 4X4 F-350 Dualy and we were talking about taking it to the track.
the people who he bought it from apprently told him not to drive over 55 mph in 4X4.
Is there any reason for that?
did you have something done for your truck to run in 4X4 at 55+?
or is there nothing wrong with doing that.

I think it depends on the transfer case. On the AutoTrac trucks like mine, the t-case is always engaged in the front and the front driveshaft always spins. The lock/unlock is done at the front diff. What I do is get going off the line and hit the 2wd button right after I launch. It takes a few seconds for 4wd to disengage, but I think it's done by the time I'm doing 60mph. If the transfer case is shift-on-the-fly, I think it would be better to shift out, but I don't know anything about the Fords. I think in general it's good to not use 4wd at highway speeds, but you can probably shift out after you launch.
