Question Smog techs: TPI vs. LS1 question...

I was wondering if there are different smog requirements for a 3rd gen 305 TPI vs. a LS1 in California? In other words, would a '02 LS1 w/cats (no AIR pump) run cleaner than an '85 305 TPI w/all the smog goodies?

Are there any factory HC, CO, NOx numbers for both motors?

Ok, thanks. I know I had some HC on the TPI, but I can't remember how much. Does the AIR system affect HC, CO, and NOx emissions after the car is warmed up?
