i wish i could go... but i just cant, this is the last weekend my g/f and i can hang out, before she leaves for 2 weeks. she even told me to go, but i just cant do that to her

So I go start to buff out the hood of my car to remove the billions of swirls......Not going to work. This car has the shittist clear on the plannet. I look at it wrong and it leave a scratch a mile deep across it. Next step is to wet sand it and park it. Arggg..... There is my 10 second rant for the night

Because his and mine paint looks like a battle field with trenches and mines and chips and swirls. Going to start using a leaf blower to dry my car. The swirls are killing me.

your freaking telling me!!!! it looks horrid in the sun after washing, i dont even want to look at it. ive been meaning to try a porter cable or buffer with some scratch x or something. ive never done that before though.

heck ya im down with that... im researching which ones work the best now... from what ive learned, most scratch removers found in stores are only fillers, and the swirls will be right back when you wash the car again... we need an abrasive polish, that levels out the clear which completely removes the swirls, but im not sure which polish is the best. we also need a orbital buffer, like a porter cable, that wont burn the clearcoat.

Greg, you need a polishing compound, at least that's what I've figured out from reading all the stuff in the Appearance Detailing section. It also matters what kind of pad you use in your panties...eerm I mean on your buffer. Anyhow, I need to hit mine up with all that crap too. I just wish I had the 300 bucks to drop on that ultimate starter package that they sell on proautocare or whatever it is.
