Chris- I think you need a bigger cam than those listed. Then maybe a nice single turbo.

It's a 2001 5.3 longblock, 118K miles, Vinci Ultra-Torque cam (210/218-551/551-116), LS6 yellow springs. All of the bolt-ons (front accessories, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc...) are from a 2005, and I have the computer and harness from an 05 as well.

I'm looking for drivability here...I need it to work well as a DD and a tow rig, and be able to go to the track and kick some ***. I'm at the point where I have crossed the "balanced" line and leaned a little more towards racing than street manners, and I need to get back towards that balance just a little more. I think I will still be able to hit 12's in cool weather with a good tune, a couple more psi, and methanol. A 12.99 counts as 12's right?

Pricing...and how hard would it be to put it in?

I'll have to see what a fair price would be. As far as installation, I'm not sure on that either. I know some guys have done V6-V8 swaps, but the computer is different, as is the harness, maybe some other stuff. Not sure if the motor mounts are the same either.

What bitching are you talking about, you morons keep talking about crankwalk when my current setup, the 6 bolt, typically doesnt.

In the picture of the dodges engine bay there are 2 vaccum lines you can barely see. It was a typical response to booth's post about a vaccum leak, and stating that the eclipse has about 20 different vac lines.

Now that I think about it, when people ask about 6-8 swaps the guys over on the truck forum generally tell the people it would be easier to sell the truck and buy something that came with an 8 from the factory. I'm sure it's possible, just depends on how much work you want to put into the conversion. Swapping from a small 8 to a big 8 is as easy as pulling the old one out and dropping the new one in. Some of the guys have done it in 4-5 hours

I use it to stir up a big oily box and get the things turning inside. Try to make the rubber melt from the friction.
