the sound you guys are hearing under the hood of Alex's car is an aftermarket camshaft...It's a pretty nasty cam, so some additional valvetrain noise is to be expected...
If it is out of the ordinary, odd are that it's lifter preload...You guys did preload them properly, right???

yeah but my AC does work. its just that the compressor is starting to (or has been) make noise. im doing the compressor as preventative maintanance so it doesnt seize and then destroy the whole system, which is usually when you have to replace the dryer, evaporator, etc
looks like my boddy Wayne (03 red cobra "NO EQUAL") knows a guy at a brake masters that will do it this saturday for $100 bux
i went ahead and got a reman'd unit from Checker for $199
FWIW that compressor pulley on the reman'd spins 100x better than that supposed low mileage good condition one i got from ebay
