stripes! try jimmys radio. there off of 16th st below indian school, we use then to rebuild gauge clusters when the "new" unit is absolete or way too damm expensive!!
chris! did you look at the rocker arm to see if it's hitting the spring? if these were used heads? they could have sunk the valves in the seats, causing a higher stem height!

oh! almost forgot. peter, DON'T BUY **** FROM CHECKERS!!!!!! every compressor i have installed from them IS JUNK!!!! even there "new" compressors!
if you need, i can look at it on the weekend at my house and let you know whats up and i can get the parts from my warehouse for cost!! let me know?

Mike ill pm ya.
Still not sure on the noise I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow night.
Peter- If the bearing went bad on the compressor most likely the orifice tube has a bunch of **** stuck on it. Not a hard or expensive fix. Flush the evaporator, condensor, get a new reciever/drier and evac and recharge the system. Did 2 of them today at work.
OMR- Nice sig. When are we going to run em again. I need to put you back in your spot.
