Default Speed-o-motive

Has anyone had any work done at Speed-O-Motive in West Covina, Ca? Im looking to have some head work done there. Possibly some minor porting. Heard anything good? Bad? Any other shops in so cal that specialize in late model/LS1 engine and machine work? Any input you guys have would be helpful.

Im also looking for a tuning/dyno shop in so cal. I live in the Riverside/951/909 area. Thanks.

I've only had my clutch done there, but from all the work I've seen done they are the only shop I'll leave my car at. Last time I was there they were working on an LS1 with a blown head. They do all types of work...do a search on them on LS1tech...

speed o motive is iffy man. no personal experience, but I've had 3 friends that I can think of right now that had motor built there. One just had a short block built there, two rods didn't have the rod bolts torqued (stretched) at all. The other threw a rod on a motor making 450 hp that supposedly had 5140 rods and forged pistons, ended up just having stock resized rods and hypereutectics in it . The other one was making like 400 hp in a small block in a buick and it was running good.
