Kooks FTW...

only i wished QTP made headers for the GTO, those would be my first choice...

I'm seriously thinking about switching to Kooks... I'll have to see how much I could sell mine for, how much new coating would be, etc. Just drove with the radio off and the windows down... damn LT's hitting seems to have gotten worse. I guess we could get a crowbar and try to bend them up some.

I orginaly order the SW's. Though I was having them coated. Well I found out they were having issues so I called to switch from SW's to Kooks and pay the difference (if any). My LT's had not been sent out or coated yet (not 100% sure if they were coated, I thought he said no), well they would not swap them for Kooks which pissed me off. The coating is great I'll give them that, though the customer service was crap.

Probably could, ill be moderate and only go on 23lbs still on 101 so i dont have to deal with knock. Ill try a dig but more likely to break something that way. I will go from a 15 roll or 10 roll, where you should be at your peak torque in your rpm band though. we'll work something out.

Yeah no problem.

Nic is the man, retune and so far so good. No stalling, even with the AC on and yes we tried to get it to stall with no luck. I hope that whatever happened with the really bad surging the other day was cuz of the tune and that it is now fixed. If not we really have no idea what it could be.

I may have to rethink the Procharger idea. I never really thought of the heat issues that came along with it. The fans will have to be replaced with smaller fans that put out less CFM than the stockers to get the Procharger on there. Then you got the intercooler throwing hot heat into the radiator, etc. Going down to a torque cam, AFR heads and a 150 shot may be the way to go in this Az heat. Of course that would be killer on the drivetrain while the Procharger wouldn't be as harsh on it.

Yeah I'll let you know. I'm for sure running it one more time befor I take off this set up, though I will wait for it to start cooling off alittle befor I do.

so over the weekend i started playing around on monster.com and careerbuilder, and today i had 3 phone calls and 4 emails (and one call last night that turned out to be something im not qualified for)

one im not even gonna consider cause its $15/hr and 5 month temp, but another is $18/hr but its another call center so it will be on the back burner.. i did get a promising email about a sys admin job, with any luck that one will pay $20+ an hr....

my job pulled another mandatory overtime lunch thing out of its *** today and tomorrow in liew of lunch we have to watch some retarded video about the new firmware update... granted its overtime, but i would much rather go home, eat my lunch and relax for an hr as opposed to that bs


oh and i gotta find an exhaust shop, that head shield is driving me crazy...

im pretty sure it is the heatshield and not the cat, because the noise seems to be coming from under the floor area in front of the passanger side backseat...which is where the shield is, not up in the front seat footwell where the cat is.
