It's not hard to figure out, it sounds like the goal is to be able to pass visual and sniffer without using/finding a friendly shop. If he found a friendly shop or had a hook-up then he wouldn't give a **** and there would be no point to his thread.

i guess it just comes down to how bad you want more HP.

if you cant find a smog shop that is cool. pm me., if you just dont want to, then just keep your car stock. and make it easy on yourself.

btw... where are you located?

good luck

Vacaville in NorCal. BTW, even if I get a friendly smog shop - how do you handle a cop that writes you up for having long tubes or something else obviously not stock? Lots of cops in my neighborhood!

sounds like you should just keep it stock then.... because anything that alters a vehicle from stock form is illegal. yes even a lid.

Well I think as long as it isn't "obviously" modded, then I should be fine. Long tube are just obvious, FAST 90/90 is too. I'm pretty sure I can get away with anything Ls6 based (intake, heads, cam, etc...). BTW - I'm pretty sure the Lid is 50 state legal and I'm running that now. But if the car gets too loud or is clearly modded, I'll have a problem.
