ls1howto.com is the main guide everyone uses... not really all that hard as you may think if you've worked on your car before

I just did a cam install, it's not hard but does take time. me and three very lazy friends did it in seven hours, but don't cam it if you can't pay to have it tunned. I am having to sell stuff now to get money for a tune, but here is a list of tools that will make the job not so bad (not all the tools just the ones someguys dont have)

1/2 air drive impact (for lower pully)

3 arm pully puller

crane cams valve spring tool (this tool is the best)

clyender compresser (sorry I cant spell, screws in the spark plug hole)

a tool to push the pully on, or like I did a big hammer and a 2x4

very important go to auto store and get some small brake line (hard metal line), you need two of them both a little longer than the cam, these are to slide in the holes to hold the lifters up.

I think thats it

Cam went in when the motor was rebuilt two years ago, so all new parts were used

If I were to buy this cam would I be able to pass smog and how much hp gain would I be looking at with a good tune? Would I need to mod anything else like the heads? Thanks for the help. I love this site.
