DRCE = Drag Race Competition Engine. In was developed in the mid-80's with the help of Warren Johnson. The motor was meant to run in Pro Stock, and was an all aluminum 500 CID Y-Block, which was similar to a big block Chevy on the inside, but took special DRCE heads, etc. It evolved in to the DRCE-2 and -3 engines now, which are not "Olds" motors, but corporate GM engines, which you could put Chevy, Pontiac, etc. heads on.
