i have a friend that used to breed pits not sure if he still does or not but.. he used to tell us how to make them sweet dogs. .all u do is when ever a new person comes in let them smell them and get comfertable being around people. . cuz if u lock them up in the room when people come around they get very defensive and become agressive to people they dont know. . its nature to all animals. .

i dont care about dog bites.. i care what dog kills.. pits kill .. their jaws are like vice grips.. my neice was mauled almost to death by one... and for no reason at all.. dog came out of no where at a park and just attacked her.. luckily there were people playing softball and one of the guys cracked it over the head...

my neice now has prosthetic ear, and scares all over her face, neck, and upper arms.. is that fair to a 7 year old??? NO... i dont know any other dog that would have done this (other than maybe a rot, or a crazy dog)

so dont say i dont know what im talking about... that insults me.. i have done my research on these animals.. and more DEATHS are associated with pits than any other dog..

i didnt tell you this for sympathy.. and no im not a dog expert either..

I have been bitten and seen others bitten! I have seen a **** load of attacks, and again NOT a single one by pitbull. AND this was in a few neighborhoods were the family dogs were 50%+ pitbulls. My Dalmation was the craziest damned dog i have ever had period.
Sorry for your niece, but that could have been any breed of dog big enough to take her down. Again i have seen Golden Retrievers go after lil kids like that.

shut the **** up, you base that on what?? my pits are nicest dogs i have ever owned, my niece has a toy puddle that attacked my dad and put puncture wounds on his hands , should we ban toy puddles also?? my pits have never even came close to attacking anyone, thats even with me throwing parties at my house and them roaming among the people. you can make any dog vicous even puddles, it isnt the dog its the people that own them, pit bulls just have better tools for hurting people (jaw strength,power).
yes pitbulls are meant to be fighting dogs, breed to fight other dogs not humans. thats why pitbulls are not good protection dogs, because often times they will lick the attacker instead of attack the attacker.

 

exactly pitbulls were breed to have high gameness, meaning when they decide to **** you they will **** you up, thats just another tool they have. its like being shot with a 22 caliper, and then being shot with a 12 gauge slug, should we ban 12 gauge rifles too.

think about it, my nephew got attacked by a bunch of black guys and put him the hospital, should we kill all black people now?? no, even though statistics say your more likely to be attacked by a black person then a white person, that being do you still think we should kill all black people, no... because not all black people are bad people, 90% of them are great people, and the same goes for pitbulls.

BUT.. i dont compare humans to animals... because humans have a thing called "Rational thought process"... animals dont, they have instict and act on that.

and ok... i will admit my opinion is biased based on personal experience.. and maybe saying they all need to die was extreme.. and if anyone is offended.. i appologize.. im not above that..

but i will say this... i heard some great testimony from some of the most experienced vets while in court (because my brother and his daughter sued the owner) and they claim pits have a much much higher tendancy to attack that any other dog..

I personally feel, that special licensing and special training should be required to own this type of dog since they are more prone to aggressiveness than most dogs. I feel "some" owners out there really dont know what these dogs are capable of. and I think all of them would benifit from proper training and handling of these dogs.

i do agree that pitbulls should maybe have some sort of background check associated with owning them, because look at most pitbull attacks, the owners are usually white trash, or gangster mexican/blacks and they want they're dog to vicous.

 

I agree, I bet if you look at the dogs that are viscious, they are owned by gangbangers..they think they are badass themselves so the dog needs to be that way too.

to be honest i smack my pit sometimes when he doesnt listen to me, but i dont care what any trainer says, pitbulls are ****** stubborn sometimes, plus i dont punch him, i just open hand him lightly to get his attention. then i pet him because i feel bad.
